Detroit: 2nd Alarm Jerome and Conant 12/10/1994 : On December 10, 1994 companies from the 8th Battalion responded to the report of a fire at a chemical factory.  Upon arrival of the first due companies they declared a Haz-Mat Level 3, for the fire in an occupied chemical factory.  By orders of Car 100 (Fire Department Commissioner) a 2nd alarm was order for the 100x50 building.

City of Grosse Pointe: 3rd Alarm 473 Lakland 12/31/1994 : On December 31, 1994 the City of Grosse Pointe Public Safety responded to 473 Lakeland on the report of a dwelling fire.  Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke conditions and requested a 2nd Alarm.  Approx. 30 minutes later there was partial collapse of the roof injuring 2 public safety officers, and command ordered a 3rd alarm for manpower.  Mutual aid from Grosse Pointe Park Public Safety and Grosse Pointe Woods Public Safety the dwelling was a total loss.

Detroit: Alcoy and Griener 3/8/1995 : On March 8, 1995 companies from the 9th Battalion responded to the report of a dwellin fire in the area of Alcoy and Griener.  First arriving companies reported heavy smoke and fire from a 2.5 story occupied 2 family flat.  By orders of Chief 9 an extra Truck was requested on this box.

Detroit: 2nd Alarm Brooklyn and Plumb 4/14/1995 : On April 14, 1995 companies from the 1st Battalion responded to the abandoned Banner Linen Co. near Tiger Stadium for the report of a fire in the basment of the building.  Companies arrived on scene and found heavy smoke conditions in the sub-basment of the vacant building.  By orders of Car 200's aide (the aide to the Chief of Department) a second alarm was sounded for manpower purposes.

Detroit: Alter and Lozier 4/30/1995 : On April 30, 1995 companies from the 6th Battalion responded to the report of a vacant dwelling fire in the area of Mack and Alter.  First arriving companies found a vacant dwelling going, with minor extension into the vacant dwelling next door.

Detroit: Rosemary and Chalmers 4/30/1995 : On April 30th 1995 a natural gas leak caused an explosion in this vacant house on the city's upper eastside.  Companies from the 9th battalion were dispatched with the report of possible civilans in the dwelling.  Upon arrival of the companies they encountered a house that was rocked from its foundation.  The dwelling later collapsed into the basement, neighbors reported that the house was vacant and that no one was in the dwelling, the explosion cause moderate damage to the occupied dwellings to either side.

Detroit: 7800 Varney 6/2/95 : On June 2 1995 companies from the 3rd battalion repsoned to 7800 Varney east of Mt. Elliott for a reported warehouse on fire.  Upon arrival of the companies they reported heavy smoke showing from an occupied commercial building.  C3 report this a doubtful fire, but only requested a platform, and held the fire to the box.

Detroit: 3rd Alarm Gratiot Central Market 6/22/95 : On Thursday June 22nd, 1995 companies from the 1st Battalion responded to the area of Gratiot and Russell on the report of a fire in the Historic Gratiot Central Market.  Upon arrival companies found the market well involved and upon orders of Chief 1 a 2nd alarm was sounded.  While enroute to the scene Car 203 ordered a 3rd alarm.  The fire ultimately gutted the historic market; today the market is reopened and still operates as the cornerstone of the Eastern Market section of the city.
